Recumbent tricycles are a
cure for cycling boredom

Recumbent tricycles take a completely unique approach to cycling. About the only resemblance to traditional tricycles is they both have three wheels. The laid back riding position, the method of steering and pedaling result in a completely different design and appearance. They definitely are not for everyone but if you are looking for a fast, fun, easy riding cycle they may be just what the doctor ordered.

These clever designs enable more efficient pedaling as well as a wide seat with a seat-back that is super comfortable and easy on the rider's body. The low center of gravity cuts way down on wind resistance.

The steering mechanism on some designs use standard handle bars but many recumbent tricycles use grips on both sides of the seat. This takes some getting used to but actually lets the rider steer with their arms in a more relaxed position.

The turning radius is longer than a more standard trike but vary rarely is an issue. Some older riders may have a problem mounting and dismounting if they have stiffness or joint problems.
